Welcome to the ICUFR. For those of you who don't already know me, here is a brief bit about me.
I have been a member of the Rotary Club of Ithaca, New York, USA, in District 7170, since December of 1956. I served as Club President in 1972-1973 and as District Governor in 1989-1990, under our own ICUFR member, the late Hugh Archer. In 1987, I served as GSE Team Leader to the Durban area in South Africa. I also served for several years as a member of the World Fellowship Activities Committee or Task Force, depending on what it was called in any particular year. Over the years, I have continued to serve both Club and District in many capacities, currently as a member of my Club's New Member Orientation Committee and as District Fellowship Chairman.
In joining ICUFR, you have joined with a group of computer users; but we're not all "geeks." While we have our share of technical experts, who can probably answer any questions you may have, many of us are just plain old users, who communicate on line to discuss computers, Rotary and anything else, in the name of fellowship. We also get together in person, usually on an annual basis, in various locations around the world.
This year's Annual Conference will be held October 5-8 in my hometown of Ithaca, New York; and I encourage you all to come and visit the beautiful Finger Lakes area of Upstate New York.
